Crescent is a permitted city. You must file a permit and it must be approved by the city prior to doing anything where a permit is required. Failure to file a permit will result in a fine.
Permits are Required for the Following:
- Building a home or adding an addition
- Adding or replacing an attached or detached garage or carport
- Adding or replacing an attached or detached deck or patio
- Adding or replacing a shed, fence, driveway or sidewalk
Some Things You Should Know:
- Dogs and cats must be licensed yearly through the City. All licenses expired December 31st.
- Maintenance of all right-of-way’s and ditches is the responsibility of the abutting property owner… including trees and weeds. Right-of-way’s must remain unobstructed.
- Grass and weeds within the city limits must be under 8″ tall.
- Your house number must be prominently displayed.
- No storage containers are allowed within the city limits. We have an inventory of those that are grandfathered in.
- All vehicles parked outside must have proof of current registration and license plates attached.
