Please volunteer your time and join in on the Crescent area Cleanup Day
Saturday May 17th starting at 9:00 am and going on until about 1:00 pm.
We will be doing a general clean-up, and litter removal from public spaces and along roadways. This is a community effort intended to maintain a beautiful, clean and attractive city. Please wear appropriate clothing, shoes, and gloves. If possible, bring a liter pick-up stick to avoid bending over. The city will provide trash bags and a dumpster for safe removal and disposal. The dumpster will be located on the North side of Denny’s Place and used only for the cleanup day litter removal. You can get trash bags at the community center or contact Ed Wangler at 531-233-8841 for help in getting those bags. If you cannot safely dispose of the litter filled bags at the dumpster, please tie them up and safely place along the roadside and we will have a pick-up truck collect and remove them.
Since this is a city-wide community effort, we encourage you to also make sure your property and immediate neighborhood is picked up and beautiful as well. Afterwards, everyone who volunteered to participate in the cleanup is welcome to eat some hot dogs at the Vets Monument. Side dishes and snacks to share are welcomed and appreciated.
Thanks everyone for your time and we are looking forward to join together with you and volunteer for our community.
